Vercel’s support assistant directed me here regarding a Vercel MCP authorization issue. I’m using the remote Vercel MCP endpoint https://mcp.vercel.com through Codex with OAuth authentication. Creating a project fails with:

Operation: POST /v11/projects HTTP status: 403 Error code: forbidden Message: You don't have permission to create the project.

Read-only checks through the same connection confirm the correct account, the intended team, and my OWNER role. The dashboard also confirms that I am the Owner. My team is on the Hobby plan.

The connector does not expose the effective OAuth client ID or granted permissions. No project or deployment was created, and we have not changed permissions during diagnosis.

Could the MCP team help determine whether project creation is restricted for this OAuth client or whether another authorization check is failing?

I have the request ID and a diagnostic response and can share them through an official private channel if needed. Please advise the appropriate next step.
