Hello Vercel Community,
I’m experiencing a persistent 404 Project not found error with the official Vercel MCP integration used by ChatGPT Work.
Environment:
- Vercel team: georgeavila679-8045
- Existing production project: orvia
- Validation project: orvia-validacion-20261019
- Project ID: prj_IOJuUAnvtVude8OC4Z8RbhRFJzkm
- Plan: Hobby
Problem:
Both projects exist and are accessible through my Vercel Dashboard. However, the Vercel MCP integration successfully retrieves orvia but consistently returns 404 not_found for orvia-validacion-20261019, whether queried by project name or project ID.
Troubleshooting already completed:
- Confirmed the correct Vercel account and team.
- Verified that the validation project exists in Project Settings.
- Explicitly authorized both projects in the Vercel OAuth integration.
- Kept global access to all current and future projects disabled.
- Reopened the ChatGPT Work session and retried the API queries.
- Confirmed that the issue persists even in a separate ChatGPT conversation using the same integration.
Example error: GET /v9/projects/{idOrName} → 404 not_found
Failed request reference: cle1:sfo1::z9wt-1792479089916-391f4f195f77
Expected behavior:
The MCP integration should retrieve the authorized validation project just as it retrieves orvia.
Actual behavior:
Only orvia is accessible through MCP, while the validation project returns 404.
Could someone help determine whether this is an OAuth project-scope synchronization issue, an MCP authorization issue, or another API visibility problem?
I would like to restore access without creating duplicate projects, enabling account-wide permissions, or modifying the existing production deployment.
Thank you for your assistance.
