Vizz.fm is a free music visualizer that runs entirely in the browser: https://vizz.fm
It reacts live to whatever you're listening to (Spotify, YouTube, a file, or the mic). Eleven Three.js visualizers with custom shaders and presets that crossfade into each other.
Next.js details that might interest people here:
- Static export (
output: 'export') served from S3 and CloudFront, no server runtime at all. The one backend piece is a Lambda behind CloudFront for SoundCloud lookups. - Marketing pages and the app live in the same project under route groups, with a single routes registry driving the sitemap, canonicals, robots and llms.txt.
- The visualizer code keeps all animation state in refs and does zero allocations in the draw loop, so React never re-renders per frame.
Happy to answer questions about any of it.
