# Why v0 student verification fails for University of Nigeria .edu.ng emails

I’m trying to verify my student plan on `v0`, but I keep getting the error:

> **“Email must be from an allowed institution.”**

My school is the University of Nigeria, and my email ends with `.edu.ng`, so I expected it to be eligible.

Is `.edu.ng` not supported, or is there a whitelist issue for certain institutions?

Has anyone else from a Nigerian university successfully verified their account?

Any guidance would be appreciated.
