"An Error Occurred, undefined is not an object..."

I team,

When I try to share a project in v0, I get the following error and the share link doesn’t work:

An Error Occurred, undefined is not an object (evaluating ‘a.project.id’)

What I was doing

  • Opened my project in v0
  • Clicked Share to generate a public link
  • Copied the link and tried to open it (or send it to someone)

What I expected
The shared link should open the project preview for anyone with the link.

What actually happens

  • I see the error above in the UI
  • The generated link sometimes points to an invalid resource and fails to load

Environment

  • Browser: Chrome (latest stable) on macOS
  • Region/Time: UAE (GMT+4)
  • Logged in to Vercel with a single account

Thank you for your help.

Did you know there’s another category dedicated to v0 topics? A human should be here soon to help, but the answer may already be available even faster in one of these other posts.

Our docs are a great place to start.

Hi @dowidubai2-9714, welcome to the Vercel Community!

Sorry that you are facing this issue. Can you check project settings and ensure that the v0 project is linked to a Vercel project?

If possible can you try logging into a private browser window to ensure there’s no cache issues on v0.

Hi @AnshumanBhardwaj, thanks for the clarification above.

I’m experiencing exactly the same issue.

  • Tested in both personal and team workspaces

    • Personal: “Private” & “Anyone with the link” → error
    • Team: “Share” & “Anyone with the link” → error
  • Tried across multiple projects, same error each time

  • Publishing to the web works fine, but for temporary user interviews we really need the old “Anyone with the link” preview in v0 itself.

Actually, during a user interview today, the error occurred and we couldn’t proceed with the test, which was a big problem.

Could you clarify if this is a permanent change in specification or just a temporary bug?
Knowing this would help us explain the situation to our client companies.

Thanks a lot!
