Hi! I'm participating in an AI hackathon (Wanted AI Championship 2026), and I'd like to check whether using the Hobby (free) plan is okay for this purpose.
I want to deploy my project — a simple web app built with a single HTML file — on the Hobby plan, purely as a demo to submit to the competition. It needs to stay live during the judging period.
The app itself is not commercial: there are no payments, no ads, and no paying users. However, the hackathon does offer prize money to winners. I'm not sure whether the possibility of winning a prize could be interpreted as "commercial use" under the Hobby plan's terms.
So my questions are:
- Does a hackathon that offers prize money count as commercial use?
- Is it okay to use the Hobby (free) plan just to participate in and submit to this hackathon?
Thank you!
