Error: The 'Uploading Project' function does not display files

When I upload a .zip file to the project upload function, no files are displayed.
I expected the contents of the .zip file to be visible and usable after upload.
This is a key feature I upgraded to premium for, so it’s quite frustrating.

  1. Prepare a .zip file containing a folder with files inside, e.g. folder.zip/folder/files...
  2. Upload it via the project upload interface
  3. The upload completes, but no files appear — the file list is empty

I initially thought the issue might be related to how Windows zips files (wrapping them in a parent folder), but I tested again using 7-Zip to compress the files directly (without the extra folder), and the same problem occurred.

  • Platform: Windows 10/11
  • Compression tools tested: Windows built-in zip, 7-Zip
  • Premium plan active (partly purchased for this feature)

Hi @manelcomiche, welcome to the Vercel Community!

Sorry that you’re facing this issue. Can you share a screenshot of the v0 UI you see and also one showing the actual contents inside the zip? This will help the team debug faster.

I attach a GIF with the whole process.

Hey, any news on this?

Hi @manelcomiche, sorry that it’s taking longer to find a solution but the team is looking into it. I’ve sent them a follow up.

I’ll keep you posted when I hear back from them.

Hi @manelcomiche, our team has shipped some changes to v0. I’ll request you to clear all the caches and try reloading the app. And let me know if you are still able to recreate the issue.

Yes, it seems to be working already. There are some times that it fails, but when reloading the web it works. And strangely (and I am not able to reproduce the error) it works better if you drag and drop the file.

Many thanks to the whole team for fixing this.
