Free credits burned after “Fix with v0”

I tried to build a simple public calculator (auth only when pressing Calculate/Save). Instead I got a hard login wall. After a few attempts to remove it, I hit a runtime error and clicked “Fix with v0.”
From there the tool restarted into an RC flight simulator I never asked for, kept generating, and used all my free credits. End result: no working calculator.

Questions:

  1. Is this a known issue where Fix with v0 changes scope?

  2. How do I enforce auth-on-action (modal) and avoid a full-page auth wall?

  3. Can my credits be restored when the output diverges from the prompt?

I was planning to upgrade to premium when needed, but spending five credits in under an hour for zero results isn’t encouraging.

Why would I pay for 20? What should I expect from four hours of prompting?

Did you know there’s another category dedicated to v0 topics? A human should be here soon to help, but the answer may already be available even faster in one of these other posts.
