Github won't allow assigning branch after creating new repo

I’m having trouble syncing my Personal Premium v0 with my Github (the same Github). I’ve followed along the steps from GitHub | v0 Docs but it never loads the screen for me to select a branch.

Here’s the exact steps I’ve taken and my issues:

  1. Remove my connection to Github in vercel.com settings.
  2. Remove my connection to v0 in Github settings.
  3. Open a v0 project chat.
  4. Click the Github icon on top right.
  5. Log into my Github and allow connection to ALL repos.
  6. Click the Github icon on the top right of v0 project chat again.
  7. Select scope (my github username slug)
  8. Type a new unique repo name for the project.
  9. Click Create Repository.
  10. Wait for wheel to stop spinning and pop-up to hide.
  11. Under the Github button is a popup that says “Connect to branch”.
  12. I click the Github icon and it still shows the inputs and prompt to create a new repo instead of letting me assign a branch.
  13. I go check Github and my new private repo is present as created by Vercel.
  14. Repeat steps 3 - 13 from the project screen (non-chat) with the same results.

I switched to my Team account and the integration works right away just as described in GitHub | v0 Docs, but I need it for personal projects. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

Did you know there’s another category dedicated to v0 topics? A human should be here soon to help, but the answer may already be available even faster in one of these other posts.

Our docs are a great place to start.

We also have a walkthrough to help guide your workflow.

And these recordings can give you a look at v0 features and strategies in action shown by our Community:

UPDATE: After successfully connecting my team to my github and creating a test team project, it’s now working on my personal project. Strange bug. But, I’m in business now.
