We build lumedot so authors and publishers can stop getting wrecked on royalties — up to (500% more) payout compared to the usual ebook/audiobook platforms.
Readers can connect straight to authors, buy books directly, join a 7-book-per-month all you can read/listen subscription, or just grab from a rotating pool of free titles we drop every month.
Tech-wise:
Next.js 15 build using a hybrid of SSR, client-side.
We have custom shadow routes, two layers (at the moment) of React Context, and a weird but effective main app catch all slug.
Also pushing something we think could be cool: our ebooks are capable of handling 3D assets and animations inside live EPUB renders without breaking standards.
