I’ve recently transferred an existing domain (ashery.me) to Vercel Domains and updated it to use Vercel’s name servers.
Since the transfer, the domain DNS hasn’t been resolving. When I check using dig ns ashery.me, I get a SERVFAIL response and see that no NS records are currently assigned to the domain.
Could you please help me verify if the domain transfer and DNS setup were completed correctly, and assist in restoring the resolving for domain?
The domain troubleshooting guide can help with most custom domain configuration issues. You might be able to use that guide to solve it before a human is available to help you. Then you can come back here and share the answer for bonus points.
You can also use v0 to narrow down the possibilities.
It still doesn’t resolve on my end, I’m getting a DNS address could not be found error.
When I run dig +short @8.8.8.8 NS ashery.me , I get no response,
while dig +short @8.8.8.8 NS vercel.com returns the expected Vercel name servers.
The issue is related to DNSSEC - the domain was transferred recently, so DS records are still published and I can’t remove them myself from the Vercel dashboard. This is exactly the same issue described at the post here.
I’d really appreciate your help! My domain has been down since it was transferred to Vercel
