Persistent syntax errors, infinite loop?

I have had uncountable syntax errors that have taken an incredible amount of time and energy and credits to fix.

Many times v0 ends up truncating my content and I am forced to restore old versions only to have the same problem ad-infinitum.

Sometimes I just surrender to this infinite loop and redo all of the work.

I can say this has cost me over $90 in credits and literal days of doing over the past month on multiple projects.

I understand the ai model dreams and can easily have errors to work through, but my experience seems a bit egregious.

Forking the chat has helped in some occasions if it is a long chat, asking it with deep contextual specificity and prompting in guardrails has also helped sometimes but often I find myself at a dead end.

By no means am I expecting v0 to be perfect, in fact I don’t even need it to be amazing, but I am getting tired of these infinite error loops. I can understand that they may occur based on a limited context window, but I feel like paying so much (pay as you go credits) to try to solve these things and finding out its maybe impossible after I have spent 100 dollars or more on credits is a big pain in the ass.

Halp

Just used $30 more in credits on one syntax error. Trying to fix a stray \ in the code that I can clearly see.

I am confused why I cannot get v0 to properly fix this. About to give up.

Just manually fixed it so I can continue with development. Just confusing that it is so overcomplicated so often with simple things.

I have a similar problem, and all I asked V0 to do was integrate Vercel’s speed insights into my app. Nine prompts later, I still receive the same errors from the prompt that the issues started with, and now all my credits for the month are exhausted.

:man_shrugging:

Manually fixed the file but still having this infinite loop of compile problems due to syntax errors.
