Pulse (for Vercel) — macOS menu bar companion for your deployments

tl;dr: Menu bar app for Vercel deployments. Native macOS. One-time payment. Built for flow state. Available now.

You know that thing where you push to main, the deploy starts, and you tell yourself “i’ll just check it real quick” — then 20 minutes later you’re deep in analytics, reviewing that other project that failed last week, checking domains you don’t even remember setting up?

Yeah. i was tired of that too.

So i built Pulse.

It’s a native macOS menu bar app that watches your Vercel deployments so you don’t have to context-switch your way into oblivion.

The philosophy:

Quiet when everything’s fine. Present when you need it.

Green means ready. Yellow means building. Red means something wants attention. That’s it. No browser tabs. No dashboards stealing your focus. Just ambient awareness.

The vibe:

Built for what i call “vibe coders” — folks who need flow state to actually ship things. People who lose entire afternoons to context switching. Anyone who values tools that breathe instead of demanding attention.

One-click log copy when builds fail. Paste straight into Claude. Keep moving.

The tech:

  • Tauri v2 (Rust) for the runtime — ~5MB bundle, native macOS APIs
  • React 19 + TypeScript + Vite 7 for the UI
  • Tailwind CSS 4 because why not
  • Zustand for state (lightweight, fast, no drama)
  • Your Vercel token lives in macOS Keychain. Encrypted, secure, local.

The business model:

One-time payment. No subscriptions. Ever.

€4.44 for 1 project, €22.22 for 10, €44.44 for unlimited.

Fair exchange, not extraction.

7-day trial gives you full access. If it fits your workflow, a few euros keeps it maintained and improving. If it doesn’t, no hard feelings.

Why i’m sharing this here:

Because this community gets it. You’re the people who actually deploy to Vercel multiple times a day. You understand the cost of context switching. You know what it’s like to build with modern tools and want things that just… work.

Also: built this entire thing with Claude Code + Cursor. The future of building is wild.

Try it: respirapulse.dev

Or install via Homebrew:

brew tap webmyc/respira-pulse && brew install --cask respira-pulse

Would genuinely love feedback from folks who live in Vercel deployments like i do.

What’s missing? What would make this more useful? What other quiet tools do you wish existed?
