So i built Pulse.
It’s a native macOS menu bar app that watches your Vercel deployments so you don’t have to context-switch your way into oblivion.
The philosophy:
Quiet when everything’s fine. Present when you need it.

The tech:
- Tauri v2 (Rust) for the runtime — ~5MB bundle, native macOS APIs
- React 19 + TypeScript + Vite 7 for the UI
- Tailwind CSS 4 because why not
- Zustand for state (lightweight, fast, no drama)
- Your Vercel token lives in macOS Keychain. Encrypted, secure, local.
