Put your experience with the new pricing scheme on YouTube :D

Can you guys please make videos about the best use of this tool and put them on Youtube please. I’m new to the latest subscription plan and it …:socks:… There might be some people who know how things should be, in order to collect the benefits for using the latest model for 7 cents a message like some people are talking about.

My current messages cost 20 cents for medium model and around 150 cents for the large model. Let’s document this on Youtube. This forum is not enough.

It doesn’t have to be a professional video:

  • Please build a task manager, calculator or a chat app…
  • You can just show how to reduce the cost to the alleged <10 cents if you can.
  • And if you can’t already, it’s good for other people to know.

Newcomers need to know about this.

Any Youtube video is good for documentation. Also I’ve read that some Vercel people are collecting feedback on this. They can collect the feedback on the same screen their potential customers collect it from.

I’m sure we can find more answers on Youtube, a good platform to interact and answer questions. It’s all good when advertising to the influencers after all. It must be good to answer questions there too.

I’m waiting for the support of our community.
Teach me the ways please.
or not… but show what’s going on.

We have a few resources to help you write more efficient prompts and understand the features:

And you can find more resources in the community handbook - Docs

I hope that helps!

We also share live events and recordings. You can find the ones tagged v0 here: Topics tagged v0

It’s better to see this on video. I’ve read it too but I couldn’t do it. Maybe there’s some people who can do it… Please v0 people put your experience on Youtube.

The tagged links I shared are videos with live demos of v0 :slightly_smiling_face:

We’ve hosted a few live sessions with people using v0 for businesses and hobbies. I definitely recommend watching them. Lots of good tips to level up your prompts.

Will try to do it when I have some time. Do you have a specific app use/case in mind?

Just not ‘the landing page’.
How about building a nice looking application that uses Vercel’s AI/SDK.
Something that caches the eye but the whole business idea
You know something that makes people go pop their tongue and say ‘Nice!’
Maybe some app from a highly voted Dribble visual?

Oh yes I’ve seen them too… I just couldn’t catch the scene where they have avoided getting charged $1.50 for a single message on the large model.

Also, I’m looking more for the video responses from the normal users who are ‘not in the know’.

quick and dirty session on a Saturday afternoon. Hope this helps.

No unfortunately that doesn’t help at all.
I wonder if it’s because v0 doesn’t cache the lengthy components it creates on purpose? @amyegan
Does your system prompt say ‘create giant components so users pay large fees to edit them while we don’t add caching support’?

It would probably help if you would share a chat so that we can see what happened.

nah, it has nothing to do with the messages I write. it’s all about input caching, or lack thereof. it’s inescapable. doomed to fail, you can’t control it. people should showcase this on youtube but they probably won’t because they have to go deep their project to get charged ‘deeper’. and who would showcase their precious ideas to the world. I advise people who think this way to be courageous though, what do you guys think they’re training their model with…

good tactic. but it won’t last. enjoy it vercel.

It was very nice of Bernd to go out of his way to show his process. The video contains some excellent tips for more efficient messages. It would be nice to thank him rather than getting quarrelsome

The screenshot you shared doesn’t give us insight into the chat, so none of us here know for sure why that message used more credits. It could be large files, images, a lengthy history, or a variety of other possible causes that could stem from v0 or the way you’re using it.

If you’re interested in working with me to figure that out, please share the chat ID like Bernd suggested. No need to make the chat public. I only need the ID to locate the logs relevant to that chat.
