Hi Vercel team,
My Hobby team jykim0048s-projects has been paused since July 7, 2026 with the reason "Fluid Active CPU — your team exceeded the Hobby fair use limits". The dashboard only offers "Upgrade to Pro" and there is no resume option, so I am asking for a manual review and unpause.
Projects that caused the overage
trading-strategies and its duplicate trading-strategies-23gb (GitHub repo jykim0048/trading_strategies) backtest-stock (GitHub repo jykim0048/backtest_stock) What happened
These projects were part of a personal trading-bot pipeline. A Railway worker committed generated files to the GitHub repos on a schedule (commits such as "chore: Railway rebuild trigger" and "chore: auto-generate intraday watchlist"), and every commit triggered a new Vercel deployment and re-ran the Python serverless functions behind those projects. The timeline in my dashboard notifications:
July 1: trading-strategies and trading-strategies-23gb repeatedly failed to deploy in both the Preview and Production environments. July 7: alert "Your free team jykim0048s-projects has used 300% of the included free tier usage for Fluid Active CPU (4 hours)", and the team was paused the same day. The CPU time came from this automation, not from real user traffic. I did not realize how much Fluid Active CPU it was consuming until the pause.
What I have changed
All of these workloads have been migrated to Railway. The scheduled jobs, the data generation and the strategy reports now run entirely on Railway. Nothing on Vercel is triggered by them anymore. trading-strategies-23gb has been removed from the team, and the remaining Vercel projects are no longer connected to any automated commits. Going forward, Vercel will only host lightweight static dashboards (gold-silver-dashboard, etf-holdings, fear-greed-backtest). No scheduled or compute-heavy functions will run on the Hobby plan. Current usage
My rolling 30-day usage is well within the Hobby limits: 133 / 1M CDN requests, 137 kB / 100 GB fast data transfer, 8.6 MB / 10 GB deployment storage, and 0 for every other metric. Nothing has been deployed since the pause, so there has been no Fluid CPU usage for almost four months.
Use case
All projects are personal, non-commercial side projects (finance/data study dashboards for my own learning). They comply with the Hobby plan's non-commercial requirement.
Could you please unpause the team? I understand the fair use guidelines and will keep heavy scheduled workloads off the Hobby plan going forward.
