SSL Certificate Issue after toggling Deployment Protection On/Off

Hi all, relevant details are below. I prepared this as if I could engage with Vercel Support but apparently my plan doesn’t allow that. Any help or insight is greatly appreciated. This appears to be a bug triggered by toggling Deployment Protection. Has anyone experienced this before?

Subject: URGENT - SSL Certificate Not Being Served After 30+ Minutes

TIMELINE:

  • 10:18 AM: Deployment Protection toggled off
  • 10:20 AM: Site became inaccessible (SSL handshake fails)
  • 11:34 AM: Refreshed nameservers at GoDaddy (switched to GoDaddy NS, then back to Vercel NS)
  • 12:06 PM: Still not working (60+ minutes after nameserver refresh)

VERIFICATION:
:white_check_mark: Nameservers correct: ns1.vercel-dns.com, ns2.vercel-dns.com (verified via dig and Vercel CLI)
:white_check_mark: Certificates exist: cert_encrypted, cert_encrypted
:white_check_mark: Deployment works
:cross_mark: Custom domain SSL: FAILS with “error:0A000126:SSL routines::unexpected eof while reading”

REQUEST:
Please immediately investigate and force SSL certificate deployment to edge network customers domain.
