I am continuing from my previous conversations and I can develop applications in Swift and ask questions related to my code. However, when I start a new conversation, for Swift or SwiftUI questions, I keep receiving this answer:
“I don’t develop in Swift or SwiftUI. I’m v0 and I specialize in web development – creating applications with web technologies like React, Next.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript.”
This is confusing for me because in the conversation I started 1.5 months ago, it could answer my Swift questions and assist with development. But when I ask about Swift or SwiftUI in a new conversation, it claims to have no knowledge about Swift. I was considering upgrading my account plan, but if I cannot get support for Swift development, I don’t think it would be right to do so.
Could you provide clarification on this issue or how Swift support can be obtained?
Did you know there’s another category dedicated to v0 topics? A human should be here soon to help, but the answer may already be available even faster in one of these other posts.
Our docs are a great place to start.
We also have a walkthrough to help guide your workflow.
And these recordings can give you a look at v0 features and strategies in action shown by our Community:
v0 is focused on web development technologies like Next.js, React, and other web frameworks. It wasn’t designed for native mobile development. It’s not intended to provide Swift or SwiftUI development support, as that is native iOS/macOS development. If you had help with Swift in previous conversations, that was likely inconsistent behavior that shouldn’t have happened.
While it’s not made for native app development, v0 can help you build Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), responsive web apps, React Native web apps (limited to web deployment), and mobile-first web interfaces with touch-friendly interactions.
