I’m on the Free plan (Hobby) and not using any paid subscriptions. I want to remove my saved payment method, but the removal fails due to a backend error.
Current vs Expected behavior
Expected: I can remove the saved payment method from Billing → Payment Method.
Actual: Removing the card fails. In Chrome DevTools (Network), the endpoint validate-payment-method-removal returns:
code: internal_server_error
message: “An unexpected internal error occurred”
Could someone please help investigate the backend error and/or remove the saved payment method from the team account?
Most of us can’t edit payment info settings on your behalf. However, if you open a support case at vercel.com/help, that’ll get you in touch with the people who can help.
Just describe the problem to the AI chat bot and click the “Create Case” button that appears at the bottom of the chat window. The AI will autofill the form based on the info provided. Then, you can review and adjust any info in the form before submitting it to reach our billing experts.
