v0 credits deducted for tasks labeled as free in UI

Problem

I’m experiencing an issue where the ‘Fix with v0’ feature displays ‘Credits used: Free’ in the interface, but my credits are still being deducted.

Current Behavior

  1. I had 2 daily credits this morning (Malta timezone, refreshed around 1-2 AM)
  2. I used the ‘Fix with v0’ feature, which showed ‘Credits used: Free’ and ‘Model used: v0 Max Fast’
  3. My credits dropped from 2 to 0 despite the task being labeled as free
  4. Checking my usage history, I can see charges for actions that the UI indicated were free

Expected Behavior

If the interface displays ‘Free,’ no credits should be consumed.

Actual Behavior

Credits are being charged even when ‘Free’ is displayed.

This has resulted in roughly 10 credits being consumed unexpectedly. I’ve been unable to get a refund due to account limits, and I feel this is a bug that needs urgent attention.

Has anyone else experienced this?

To clarify further: even if I somehow used all 20 free “Fix with v0” uses yesterday, my daily limit should have reset at 12:00 AM UTC (around 1-2 AM my time in Malta).

This was my first fix of the new day, and it still consumed all my credits despite showing “Credits used: Free” in the interface.

So either:

  1. The free fix counter isn’t resetting properly at midnight UTC, or

  2. The system is incorrectly charging credits for fixes that should be free

Either way, something is broken. The UI clearly displayed “Free” — I have the details to prove it (2 actions, 266 lines read, Credits used: Free, Model: v0 Max Fast) — yet my 2 daily credits vanished instantly.

This needs to be investigated.
