- DeepSecBench Launched to Evaluate AI Vulnerability Detection – The new benchmark measures how well different models find cybersecurity vulnerabilities in real application code, scoring each on recall, precision, cost, and total time using a recall-weighted F2 formula that prioritizes catching real bugs over avoiding false positives, since missed vulnerabilities go unfixed while false positives don’t make code less secure.
- Edge Config Renamed to Global Config – Vercel’s configuration store has been renamed to better reflect its true capabilities as a globally replicated data store with ~1ms read latency in every region, perfect for feature flags, redirects, and runtime configuration.
- Deployments Now Up to 7 Seconds Faster – Platform-wide optimizations removed up to 5 seconds of fixed overhead from every build, with the latest CLI saving an additional 2 seconds, making the improvements especially noticeable on smaller projects where orchestration overhead was previously significant.
