In Azure’s model list, there are no gpt-image or gpt-image-2 models, so requests corresponding to these cannot use BYOK. We hope they can be added to the list.

You’re right that AI Gateway currently only supports Azure OpenAI models through the BYOK feature, which does limit the available fallback options compared to what’s available in Azure AI Foundry.
