Domain is pending verification

I’m encountering a prolonged issue with verifying the domain africanplains.org for use in my Vercel project.

The domain belongs to someone else, and they’ve added the required TXT record with the details provided by Vercel:

Name: _vercel
Value: vc-domain-verify=africanplains.org,0d2cc53b3d3dfdcdaf4b

Despite this, the domain remains in a “pending verification” state, and I am unable to link it to my project.

Is there a way to check if the TXT record has been properly detected or force Vercel to re-check the verification process? If additional steps are required, I’d appreciate any guidance to expedite the process.
