I have just finished building a new website for my business, using the Premium V0 plan with additional credits purchased as needed. I’m now going away for a couple of weeks and will be doing no work on the site till I get back.
My account is due to renew on March 17th but I have no card added for auto payments. I have $42.42 in purchased credits that I don’t want to lose. But I can’t see a way to drop to the Free tier in the Account or Workspace settings.
Concerns
Will this happen automatically and preserve my purchased credits?
Or will I return in a couple of weeks and find my account suspended and my credits removed?
My site is live (hosted on Vercel) and I don’t want anything to happen to it.

To downgrade from Premium to Free:
Go to v0 Billing Settings [blocked]
Click Cancel Subscription in the “Plan Summary” section
Confirm the cancellation”
When I attempted this i got a warning:
”You are about to cancel your Premium Plan. Your increased limits will remain active until the end of your billing period. Are you sure? You won’t be able to use your Purchased Credits ($42.42 left) until you resubscribe."
When I queried the bot it said:
”The warning you’re seeing is correct: “You won’t be able to use your Purchased Credits ($42.42 left) until you resubscribe.”
This means that while your purchased credits won’t disappear, they will be frozen and inaccessible on the Free plan. You’d need to resubscribe to Premium to use them again.
So to clarify your options:
Stay on Premium — Continue using your $42.42 in purchased credits
Cancel now — Your credits will be preserved but locked until you resubscribe to a paid plan”
Seems the UX writing on here could be a whole lot better!
