Good day to everyone, I am hoping someone can help me fix the problem I am having.
My custom domain robloxflex.com which is using the Vercel DNS suddenly stopped working, it was working fine for a month then it just stopped working, it says Invalid Configuration, even though I did not do any change or updates. It was working fine for a month.
So I disconnected it from my project and reconnected it again. I also updated my registrar, refreshed the domain, adding the Vercel nameservers again. But it still show’s Invalid Configuration.
Can someone please help me? This is a live project and I have more projects I am planning to run on the platform. Thank you so much.
I’m sorry you are facing this issue. I just checked the DNS propagation and it seems like it hasn’t finished yet. Sometimes it can take longer than a few hours.
Can you share the screenshot of the error you see on the Vercel dashboard?
Yes, the weird thing is, it has been working for a month, with no problems at all, and it just suddenly says Invalid Configuration, so I had to redo the same steps again, the same way I did it the first time. But after 72 hours, it still has not propagated at all.
Here’s the screenshot I see on the Vercel dashboard.
I see. Let’s fresh start. I request you to remove the NS records or any other DNS records you added for the app recently to your Domain provider.
After that follow the on screen instructions and use the DNS Records method instead for the time being. So, add the A and CNAME records.
This will let you get the production app back up. After that we can later try to see why the NS setup is not working. This is most likely due to the upstream DNS provider because the DNS records are not propagating.
Yes. The config looks good. But, I still don’t see any DNS propagation on DNSChecker websites. Can you confirm with IONOS if they know something about this issue? We’ve also had issues with this domain provider in the past.
