July recap of v0 updates

The v0 team ships a ton of new features and updates every month. Much like with my weekly Vercel News Cache posts, I take notes to keep myself up-to-date on the latest ships.

Rather than keeping them to myself, I’m going to start posting them here on the first Wednesday of each month. Please let me know if you find this useful or want to see any changes to the format!

Without further ado, these are the updates, features, programs, and guides shipped in the past month:

  • preview loading time in v0 up to 24.2% faster for complex generations

1. When using v0 in mobile phones, selecting a chat from sidebar menu opens the preview of that app or site that created in that chat first instead of showing the chat section. It’s very much annoying. Fix it please.

2. Add a drag handle or something in the top of the preview section when viewed in mobile phones to understand it can be dragged to bottom to view its chat section. Now, it’s not easy to drag to the bottom. Please consider these issues and make v0 user friendly as soon as possible. Thank you

Hi,

Why are we unable to modify code manually? it’s not working.

Even if we try to modify one character and save it’s not working, also if we copy and paste content from local to app - not working. one more - upload files are not working/not showing output.

Can you share a screenshot of what’s going wrong? Trying to understand if it’s not saving changes, affecting only certain file types, or preventing manual changes entirely.

Its not working for any file type (tsx, .json, .txt, etc.) I tried all. from the network tab i found this error, for that request.
