Poor performance while being charged the same

For the past few weeks, performance has deteriorated. V0 is being lazy and ignoring instructions most of the time, which severely impacts productivity. What’s even more frustrating is that Vercel charges for usage as if everything works fine, which is not fair at all since they can monitor performance in real time.

I’m at the point of seriously reconsidering using this tool for any future projects. The waste of tokens caused by V0’s underperformance (and not actual productive work) is simply unacceptable.

I fork multiple times a day and it’s still the same and I’ve noticed generaly better performance early in the morning.
Is anybody experiencing the same issue even with a small project?

The screenshot you shared doesn’t provide much context for the performance issues you’re experiencing. But I have a few general tips that can help:

  • Be more specific in your prompts - include exact requirements, tech stack, and styling preferences
  • Use the fork feature strategically to “save” stable versions before adding the next feature or component
  • Break down complex requests into smaller, focused tasks
  • Provide clear context about what’s not working when v0 doesn’t follow instructions
  • Use the feedback buttons to report when responses are low quality

If you feel you’re being charged unfairly for poor-quality responses, I’d recommend reaching out to Vercel support directly through your dashboard or vercel.com/help

The team is continuously working on improvements, and detailed feedback helps us do that

Hi Emy, thanks for taking the time to respond.
The screenshot shows abnormal behavior, with no analysis or feedback on what was generated.
I’m sharing screenshots of the last 3 replies, apologies and no changes on the requested thing.

My tokens are being burned, ending in either ignored tasks or very poor results. It’s frustrating and exhausting. When things are completely broken, I reduce it to one task at a time, with very low complexity, just to try and keep making progress, but even then it still struggles. When I point it out (what I did before replies on screenshots), it apologizes, but still doesn’t fix anything.

After three days, there’s been no improvement. It feels like I’m using a beta version.
I’ve sent a lot of negative feedback to your technical team, but nothing has changed. This issue has been happening on and off since late April. I was more understanding when the pricing was different, but now it feels like gambling:
“Should I add more credits to see if this time it will actually work properly?”
That’s where things stand now.

Good post Zack. I am getting exactly the same problem. I have also found things are better in the morning. I live in the UK and by lunchtime, when the US East Coast comes online it gets much worse. By the evening when all of the West coast is online as well it gets impossible and I give up. I am also thinking of moving to another service.
I will start monitoring apologies / 10 versions which seems a pretty good metric. I usually get through at least 10 versions an hour…
