Hi Vercel team,

I wanted to give some feedback on the way Pro account credits work, particularly with AI Gateway.

I pay $20 per month for Pro, and in many months I only use a fraction of the included credit. The remainder simply expires. At the same time, those credits cannot be applied toward AI Gateway usage, even though AI Gateway is integrated directly into the Vercel dashboard and ecosystem.

That makes the value proposition of Pro difficult to understand.

If I use more than $20, I pay the additional usage. If I use less than $20, I still pay the full $20 and lose the unused portion. And if I want to use AI Gateway, I have to fund that separately rather than using the balance I have already paid Vercel for.

I think one of two changes would make the plan substantially more reasonable:

• Allow unused Pro credits to roll over from month to month, or
• Allow the included Pro credit to be used across Vercel services, including AI Gateway.

Ideally, both would be possible.

I understand that the $20 is technically part of a subscription rather than a stored cash balance, but from the customer's perspective it functions very much like prepaid platform usage. When unused credit expires and can't be applied to another Vercel service, it starts to feel less like included value and more like money forfeited each month.

I'm seriously considering moving back to the free tier because I have a hard time justifying Pro under the current billing model. That is unfortunate, because I otherwise like the platform and would prefer to keep more of my infrastructure within Vercel.

I hope you'll consider making the included credit more flexible, especially as AI Gateway becomes a larger part of the platform.
