I have a website that I have deployed. I want to add a custom domain to it, but I am using a subdomain in a university website. From Subdomain ownership verification, I understand that the apex domain needs to be verified. However, I am in contact with the specific IT department that handles the subdomain. The university has delegated domain management to the IT department even though it’s the subdomain.
I need to verify the subdomain as the root rather than the apex, but Vercel needs apex verification.
I am able to provide proof of this delegated ownership as well as give specifics on the domains.
