Invalid configuration when I point domain.com to www.domain.com

Domain purchase from GoDaddy, the Nameserver changed to Hostinger (for emailing) then TYPE CNAME changed to

Type: CNAME
Name: www
Points to: cname.vercel-dns.com.
TTL: 14400 (or leave as default)

I get an invalid configuration when I point domain.com to www.domain.com

I also added the A Type and IP on hostinger

hi @morancie-gmailcom, welcome to the Vercel Community!

I see that your DNS has propagated well. Can you share the error that you’re seeing in Vercel?

It can be that you need to verify domain ownership using a TXT record.

@anshumanb any suggestions?

Your DNS seems okay to me. Can you try removing the domain from the project and re-adding it?

I have removed the domain many times.

I see. Can you try removing both the www and non-www version of the domain and re-add? Sorry for the additional steps but I’m unable to see the error on my end so if you could retry after removing all custom domains from the project and re-adding and send the screenshots I can talk to other team members to see what could be going wrong.

Hi @morancie-gmailcom, after talking to our support folks. We’ve found that the AAAA record is interfering with your configurations. So, removing this record should solve the issue:

Also, please note I’m removing the image from your original post because we don’t need that information anymore.

ok thank you, i will let you know

@anshumanb I removed the AAAA and removed both domain the re added them. still invaild configuration

@anshumanb what should the TTL be?

I see. Can you share the error you see now?

About TTL: keeping a shorter one may help reflect changes faster in future.

@anshumanb It is working!!! thank you very much!
