I have noticed this issue time to time, but not a ton. but when it has occurred, I let it sit a bit and then I just refresh the page. Stopping the chat seems to only create more issues. Others have reported this as well. Better to let it be, refresh the page, let it do its thing. And a sandbox restart has helped a ton too.
