Issue Description
Current versus Expected Behavior
- Expected Behavior: Before this issue started, the v0.dev models worked perfectly for my landing page revamp project. I could input prompts, provide project files, and the models would generate code that seamlessly integrated into my project’s file system on the platform. This allowed me to iterate quickly and efficiently without any manual copy-pasting.
- Current Behavior: Since yesterday, the models have stopped working as expected. They either fail to generate outputs entirely, showing an error message like “Something went wrong. Please edit, retry or delete your message,” or they generate code but paste it directly into the chat instead of integrating it into my project’s file system. This has also burned through all my free plan prompts, leaving me stuck and unable to continue my work.
Reproduction Steps
- I started by submitting a prompt to revamp my landing page, aiming to improve visual appeal and user engagement with dynamic animations and a vibrant color palette.
- I attached context by uploading 8 specific files from my project:
- client/app/page.tsx
- client/components/landing-hero.tsx
- client/components/landing-features.tsx
- client/components/landing-testimonials.tsx
- client/components/landing-pricing.tsx
- client/components/landing-cta.tsx
- client/tailwind.config.ts
- client/app/globals.css
- The model began processing my request but halted midway, displaying the error: “Something went wrong. Please edit, retry or delete your message.”
- In cases where code was generated, it appeared directly in the chat window instead of being applied to my project’s file system as it used to.
Up until yesterday, the v0.dev models were a game-changer for my landing page project, generating and integrating code effortlessly into my Next.js file system. Now, they’re failing to produce reliable outputs, consuming my free plan prompts, and pasting code into the chat instead of my project files. This has completely stalled my progress, and I urgently need help to get back on track.
