Why v0 liked templates are no longer accessible and feedback on transparency

For context I have been using v0 since the very first day it was released in BETA. To put it bluntly, I was amazed. I’m still amazed every day.

Unfortunately, it’s become quite obvious that the absolute invasion of agentic bots running amuck causing havoc across the web has forced Vercel to make information, previous work, and anything that would require a human to do browse in a manner that even slightly resembles data scraping.

Now the team has resorted to straight lying, and it’s condescending af. For example, the response given in Finding liked templates on Vercel to a very innocent question is downright false. I know, because I have used the like mechanism for maybe almost 2 years as a makeshift way to “bookmark” designs that I like and want to return to – including my own components (which, are all gone and have no idea where I would even start to even look for them).

This effectively leaves me and likely many others to fork an entire repository, which triggers a deployment, and when talking scale, probably is wasting an absurd amount of energy and resources (for context, v0 was once a components-based platform becoming a full-stack supporting power tool, which I am not complaining about).

But please, do not treat us like second class citizens or little toddlers with half-truths and condescending lies.

The UI doesn’t currently have a way to list liked templates, but the team confirmed they are working on adding this feature from Finding liked templates on Vercel - #4 by amyegan

Most of us are mature and have been around long enough to handle the truth. Just say that bot activity and agents (which btw, your parent company at Vercel played a relatively large role in the proliferation of), have made it unsustainable to keep the old v0 and its once robust search. I dont think anyone in their right minds would have called you evil or seen you in a negative light. It’s an absolute sh!tshow out there, and I can only image how hammered the old platform was getting. But get that lying BS out of here. That’s not the way to treat customers, paying or not.

Incumbents are being knocked out left and right, and the v0 ecosystem is no exception. I will not be renewing my subscription on my work account. And to those that see this, yes there are viable options out there, but I dunno, v0 always had a special place in my heart. Bittersweet feeling for sure.

Hey @juststampit. Glad to see you’ve been with v0 since the beginning. There’s been a lot of change since then!

The answer to the question about favorited templates is definitely the truth. There is a way to mark favorites, but not currently a way to view them in a list. The team confirmed they are working on that.

Your own projects and templates should be listed on your account. If there’s anything missing, I’d be happy to help you find it.

And, of course, please let me know if I’ve misunderstood your problem. I want to make sure you get the info you need
