I have around 10$ of purchased credits but it says I am out of credits.

I am not sure what is happening. Some time ago I purchased extra 15$ credits and used it then it was left something like 10$. Today I went in used v0 after my monthly free credits finished it said I am out of credits even though I still have 10$ in purchased credits that still did not expire. Is this some kind of scam that I cannot use something I paid for?

This sounds like it may be a v0 billing or credit-balance issue rather than your credits actually being gone.

From the v0 pricing docs, credits work like a prepaid balance, and generations should draw from your available credit balance. The docs also say unused monthly credits roll over to the next billing cycle and expire after 65 days.

A few things worth checking:

  1. Open your v0 Billing page and confirm whether the $10 is listed as monthly credits, purchased credits, gifted credits, or team/shared credits.

  2. Check whether the credits are shown as available, expired, pending, or attached to a different account/team.

  3. Make sure you are using the same v0/Vercel account and workspace/team where the credits were purchased.

  4. Try logging out and back in, then refresh the billing page and test again.

  5. If it still says “out of credits” while your billing page shows an available balance, this is probably something Vercel staff need to inspect on the account side.

I would suggest opening a support request, or adding a screenshot of the v0 Billing page showing the remaining balance, while hiding private details such as email addresses, invoice IDs, and payment information.

I think this explains what is happening. The Billing page shows that your monthly credits are $0.00 / $5.00, and the remaining $9.94 is under Purchased Credits.

I found a related Vercel Community answer saying that purchased v0 credits require an active paid v0 plan, such as Premium, Team, or Enterprise, to be used. So if your account is currently on the Free Plan, v0 may not let you spend those purchased credits even though they still appear as available and unexpired.

That would explain why v0 says you are out of credits after the monthly credits are used up.

If you do not want to upgrade just to use the purchased credits, I would contact Vercel Help/Billing Support and ask whether they can refund the unused purchased credits or confirm the exact policy for Free accounts.
