Persistent Styling Bias in v0 Towards Vercel Design Aesthetic

Hi Vercel-Team,

I want to raise an issue I’ve consistently encountered while working with v0 (paid-version) that is becoming increasingly frustrating and disruptive to my design workflows.

Problem
v0 appears to have a strong bias toward Vercel’s native design aesthetic—specifically, the frequent use of black as an accent and overall adherence to the Vercel branding style. While I understand the intent of maintaining visual coherence in certain contexts, this behavior actively overrides custom designs, even when the prompt is focused on a very specific and localized change. It continues to remove any styling that does not align such as shadows and reverts accent colors to black.

A recent example:
I had a custom-styled card-like content panel with a particular visual hierarchy and palette. I asked v0 to replace a placeholder within that panel—nothing more. v0 did make the change, but it also reverted the surrounding panel styling to its default Vercel-inspired look, completely disregarding my custom implementation.

Is there a way to disable or reduce the default design enforcement?

I have already inserted the following snippet in the project cfg to avoid this behavior, but it did not fix it:

This is modern SaaS service. If you are prompted to replicate styles or input, ensure to exactly match the style requested and or provided images. Under no circumstance apply the Vercel design or styling.

This behavior is totally unacceptable and I would appreciate thoughts, workarounds, and a timely fix.

Thanks,
Gregor
