Vercel treats .com.cv as root domain and blocks verification

Subject: Unable to connect .com.cv domain due to root detection issue

Hello Vercel team,

I’m trying to add my domain roadrunner.com.cv to my Vercel project. However, Vercel is incorrectly treating com.cv as the root domain instead of recognizing roadrunner.com.cv as the full apex domain.

This prevents me from completing domain verification, even though I fully own and control the DNS for roadrunner.com.cv via Cloudflare.

I’d like to point out that .com.cv is officially listed in the Public Suffix List under the .cv country TLD.

Could you please refresh the PSL config or update your internal domain handling logic to allow .com.cv suffixes?

Let me know if you need any DNS verification steps from my end.

Thanks in advance!

The domain troubleshooting guide can help with most custom domain configuration issues. You might be able to use that guide to solve it before a human is available to help you. Then you can come back here and share the answer for bonus points.

You can also use v0 to narrow down the possibilities.

Thanks, I’ve passed this along to the Domains team

This fix has been deployed, you should be able to do this successfully now

We’re not fully in sync yet with the PSL but it is our goal to automate this, so if you run into any more of these let us know and we’ll expedite them
