You're Killing the Product with This Credits System

This isn’t an improvement. It’s a regression—disguised as a feature.

Switching from a monthly message quota to a credits-based system is not only a bad move, it’s one that punishes your most engaged users. And worst of all: it does nothing to fix the core problems v0 still has.

  • The product still breaks constantly, and now every time I click “Fix it”, it costs me credits—as if your system’s mistakes are my fault.
  • The output is often broken, inconsistent or requires several attempts. Now every retry or edit means more credits lost.
  • Iteration—the very soul of building with AI—is now taxed.
  • The new model severely limits exploration and creativity. You’ve turned a tool for rapid prototyping into a calculator of fear: “Better not click too much—it’s gonna cost you.”
  • The 1 million token price is outrageously expensive, an absolute rip-off that makes any real, sustained use completely impossible and ridiculous. It feels like you’re intentionally gouging users just to make a quick buck, not to provide value.
  • Worst of all, you’re charging users more for getting less. We’re literally paying for your bugs.

Let’s be clear: this system doesn’t give us more control. It gives you more revenue at the expense of usability, trust, and product quality. If this is the direction v0 is heading, you’re stripping away everything that made it exciting in the first place.

People supported this tool because it let us move fast and iterate without friction. Now you’re monetizing the friction. That’s not just disappointing—it’s unacceptable.

Please rethink this. Or risk losing the very users that gave v0 its momentum.

I agree with most of the points here as well!

However, I do believe the team is looking into this concern but they are failing to communicate the same. If any member from the team comes across this, please let us know what you’ve discussed and what you intend to do and how long would it take.

We’d like to be up to speed at least so we can decide where to invest next, and please don’t give us the “we are looking into it” phrase.

Very true, my last PoC with Vercel!! V0: fixes the same error at least 60 times Me:running out of credits!

I had a post like this, they just come back with a standard corporate reply from their handbook about “How to prompt efficiently”, as if that fixes all the bugs we have to pay for and make it an usable system again.

Messages like this are pointless sadly, they are on a mission like the Titanic and there is no stopping the boat from the iceberg. Even when we scream we can see the Ice Berg closing in.

Had a whole assisting story on the effects on brand trust, what kind of repercussoins that has in what timeline based on previous identical scenario’s.

We tried, only thing we can now is watch how it all burns down. Sad, loved working on v0
